About
I started baking when I was 2. Well… I assisted my Mom in the kitchen by licking the beaters to make sure the frosting tasted ok. I definitely got the baking bug from my Mom and Grandma by growing up in a house that always smelled of fresh baked goods. As a child, I remember always having a plate of fresh cookies on the table, delicious homemade Birthday cakes, and the copious amounts of Christmas cookies my Mom and Grandma would make during the Holidays to share with family and friends. To me there is nothing like the taste of a fresh baked treat made with love. I am so lucky I had two amazing bakers to learn from and am grateful for all the wonderful passed down family recipes.
The Dancing Baker was born in 2008, when I decided it was time to pursue my passion for baking and turn it into a small business. I have spent many hours in the kitchen creating some of my own recipes. To find out more about the Dancing Baker, please visit my website!

I am anxious to bake, taste and share some of the recipes that you experiment with. It could be interesting between east coast tastes and west coast tastes. People have different ideas of the perfect baked goods depending on where they grew up! I am thrilled to see that you have acquired my love for baking and cooking for that matter but are taking it one step further. Best of luck to you and I will enjoy your blog!
Love,
Mom
Not sure how I came across your blog but I’m lovin your chocolate chip cookie experiment! I also LOVE chocolate chip cookies – making them and of course eating them. I always am on the lookout for new recipes. I went down the page and read every single one of your reviews. Many of those recipes I have made myself. I also do not care for the super flat ones. I don’t think I have a preference – crispy, chewy, thick, fluffy….I like them all as long as the chocolate is good and they are not overdone. I prefer all my cookies slightly underdone. For the actual chips, my favorite brand is Guittard and when I see a good sale on them, I will actually purchase 50 bags at a time! Really!
But anyway, I’m totally fascinated by your experiment. How fun it must have been to bake and test all those yummy cookies!
Thanks for sharing.
